For me photography is to place head, heart and eye along the same line of sight. It is a way of life."
—Henri Cartier-Bresson
As a child, Perry was naturally drawn to the realm of creative expression and sought to find a way to express what he saw.
Photography was an obvious choice: it's a marriage of his two loves, visual arts and the nature of things, encompassing the decisive moment à la Henri Cartier-Bresson and the science of light. It also offers a combination of Perry's love of observing life as it unfolds in the moment, and translating that moment via the camera into a finished image that communicates beyond the word.
An award-winning photographer who has been shooting professionally in Vancouver for over 15 years, Perry's work includes editorial assignments for such publications as Time Magazine, Canadian Living, Report on Business, and Profit Magazine, as well as numerous advertising and design projects. |
